HoodTrophy Bino Drops New Single “Hoodied Up” ft. Bravo The Bagchaser

Fresh off their 18-city "Not Normal Tour" tour where Bino opened for Bravo, the new track is all about growing up in the hood. Bino says, “From the Black-side to the Mexican-side, we both go through the same things -- we have to "Hoodie Up!" He adds, "Bravo's my homie. Black and Brown together.”

Upbeat and celebratory, the song is about finding joy in difficult situations. Lyrics like, “Ayee hoodied up / Remember when they told me I wasn’t good enough / Remember when they told me I wasn’t shit bitch / Now I walk up on ‘em walk ‘em down with a big stick” highlight what it takes to rise above the haters and step into your power. The beat is electric and each artist brings a unique flavor and sound to the anthem, resulting in a full-bodied hit.

HoodTrophy Bino just toured with Bravo the Bagchaser and Soulja Boy. Having broken free from the struggles of gang life and poverty, Bino remains true to his roots while carving out a new path for himself. His journey is captured in the documentary The HoodTrophy Bino Story: Breaking the Generational Curse, which has earned over 61 awards in the film festival circuit this year. His single "I Want Her" ft. Kalan.FrFr was recently added to Power 106FM, SiriusXM's The Heat, 97.9 La Raza and Power 96 in Miami.

HoodTrophy Bino, born Tadashi Sayres, is a Los Angeles-based rapper whose music tells the story of overcoming hardships and leveling up in life. Raised by a single mother in a large family in Palmdale, California, and later in the tough projects of South Central LA, Bino was heavily influenced by gang life but found a vital outlet in music. His path led him to meet Soulja Boy during a stint in jail, which resulted in Bino signing with Soulja Boy's S.O.D.M.G. label. Despite numerous challenges, Bino has turned his life around and now advocates for youth facing similar struggles, raising awareness about PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

Bino's resilience is showcased in his growing discography and the award-winning documentary HoodTrophy Bino: Breaking the Generational Curse, which premiered at SXSW and has received widespread acclaim and awards on the film festival circuit. The documentary offers an authentic look at Bino's life, from overcoming adversity to pursuing his dreams. Bino has opened for major artists like Soulja Boy, Tee Grizzley, Snoop Dogg and many more. His debut album HoodTrophy was released this year as an independent artist and features collaborations with heavy hitters such as Mozzy, Kalan Fr.Fr., and Peso Peso. With his second album set to release this winter and recent North American tours with Bravo the Bagchaser and Soulja Boy, HoodTrophy Bino is cementing his place as a prolific rapper and a motivator for his generation.

Star2 x Seko - "Once in a While" (Video)

Thai refugee artists Star2 and Seko release "Once In A While", the heartfelt new single and music video. Both born in the Mae La refugee camp in Thailand, the artists draw on their rich cultural heritage with the song almost entirely sung in the Ka-ren language and the music video filmed in Thailand.

"Once In A While" features poignant lyrics that reflect the deep emotions of longing and love, such as "My tears I secretly wipe them away by myself / I love you so much, so whatever you say is never wrong / I’ll chase after you over a hundred times". Tugging at your heartstrings, the song is beautifully layered with rich harmonies, delicate piano notes, and a backdrop of female vocals that evoke a sense of connection that feels both intimate and distant. As both artists deliver their verses with raw, unfiltered emotion, the feeling of lost love is one that is never forgotten.

Refugee pop meets hip hop artist Star2 fled his refugee camp as a child when the Burmese Army destroyed their village and attacked them in the middle of the night. Faced with overwhelming heartache and loss growing up, Star2 found his solace in music. He has collaborated with the likes of Soulja Boy, $tupid Young, Mozzy, MBNel, Luh Kel, Lil Poppa, HoodTrophy Bino, YSN Flow, and MarMar Oso just to name a few. Now, Star2 is on a mission to elevate the next generation of Ka-ren and Asian Artists.

Giorgia Baglivo – “Graffiti” ft. Mr.Goodbar

Giorgia Baglivo is a percussionist from Italy, with a focus on the marimba and vibraphone. She embarked on a creative journey to compose original pieces for her instruments, integrating them into contemporary music. Giorgia Baglivo is proficient in a variety of styles and musical genres; she composes the music, records it, and the producer gives shape to her songs by adding the appropriate instrumental.

The artist does not favor a specific musical genre; instead, she creates music that resonates with her personal taste. Kofi Continues Hot Streak With New Single “I Know” On Red Bull Records

Rising Ghanaian-Canadian rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer Kofi today released his third single of the year, “I Know” on Red Bull Records.

Coming off his breakup-fueled track “We Don’t Make Sense”, he doubles down on provocative lyrics and unfiltered emotions, setting the tone for his unapologetic era. He effortlessly blends hip-hop and R&B in his savage quips and club-inspired percussive elements, elevating the tempo from his previous releases.

On the background behind “I Know”, Kofi shares, “I wrote “I Know” while on tour in Europe last year. It came to me following an argument with my girlfriend who was frustrated by how much time I was spending on the road playing Volleyball and working on music. At one point she threatened to break up with me, and although it was probably for the best, there was a part of us that knew it wasn’t going happen.”

Kofi redefines what it means to be a triple threat, as he excels in the studio, on the stage, and all over the court. Along with his passion for crafting hits, he’s an international volleyball sensation. Originally an all-star player on UCLA's volleyball team in 2020, he left the sport behind to pursue music full time – until now. Four years and several albums later, Kofi returns to the game in France, serving as a 6’8” middle blocker on Arago de Séte. The club plays in the top flight of French volleyball’s LNV Ligue A (A-League), and Kofi is set to bring the team another championship win this season.

About Kofi

Experiences shape what we do and, in time, where we go. Kofi has quietly morphed from humble beginnings in Scarborough, Toronto to college volleyball superstar to culture-shifting singer, rapper, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Absorbing the wisdom and skills from each phase, he takes control of his destiny, executing a singular vision through his lyrics and production.

Born to a Ghanaian immigrant father and Polish-Jewish mother, the diversity of his heritage translated to his musical palette. He played piano, guitar, and even trombone, listening to everything from hip-hop to Afrobeats—citing Akon and J. Cole as his two chief inspirations.
Armed with his MacBook, he became a go-to engineer for various local artists and taught himself how to produce in high school. Eventually, he wound up at UCLA as a star on the Bruins volleyball team. Simultaneously, he gained traction with a series of independent singles, including “Came Up” and “Wake Up.” Gaining momentum, he joined forces with multi-Platinum Canadian rapper Pressa on “Snow” and landed a sync placement on the NBA 2K20 Soundtrack with “Hold Me Down.”

Signing to Red Bull Records in 2020, he revealed the Story of My Life EP, producing three of the project’s six cuts himself. The single “Babygirl” captured top placements on the SoundCloud charts including #1 on New & Hot US, #2 on Top 50 US Singles, and #4 on New & Hot Global. Along the way, he also earned high-profile fans such as Drake, Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, Preme, and Kardinal Offishall, to name a few.

When the pandemic shut down the volleyball season and in-person learning at UCLA, he returned to Scarborough. He dove headfirst into the next body of work, assembling what would become Why Not. His evolution comes into focus on the single “Haunt Me” featuring 2KBABY. A head-nodding beat— constructed by Kofi—simmers through a tightly threaded guitar line as he carries an instantly infectious and irresistible chorus.

After amassing tens of millions of streams and inciting applause from The New York Times, Complex, HotNewHipHop, and more, he unveiled his latest EP Just To Piss You Off, featuring tastemakers like Boslen and Kuami Eugene. Spanning a collection of bold and audacious songs with each pettier than the next, he flexes his unfiltered attitude through smooth vocals and crisp beats. Kofi’s confidence shines in the best way through his robust musicianship, boasting songwriting, producing, mixing, and mastering credits across the entire package. It’s the ultimate mix of passion, ego, and dynamic lyrics that have established this chapter as one of his best.
